How Are Images Added to the PDF?
JPG and PNG images are embedded into the PDF without an intentional reduction in their image quality. WebP is decoded and re-encoded as PNG because the PDF builder cannot embed WebP directly; this may make the finished PDF larger than the WebP files. Review the final size and appearance before sharing.
Fit to Image creates pages based on each image's dimensions. A4 and Letter place each image within the selected page and margin area.
Will Compressing Images Make the PDF Smaller?
Smaller source images can help, especially with JPG photos, but PDF size is not guaranteed. WebP conversion can increase it. Check the finished PDF and use Compress PDF if the result still exceeds your destination's limit.
